Lole Warehouse Sale 2015

I'm very late posting about this sale given the fact that it's over, but you can at least keep it on your radar for next year. The Lole warehouse sale is a definitely a must,  if you're in the market for some workout gear or cold weather sports gear.

Lole warehouse sale 2015-1

I have been waiting for this sale to re-appear especially since I'm in dire of some work out clothes.  I thought this sale comes around once a year, but it looks like happens at least twice a year.

This is not the same as the Lole sample sale I posted about in March.  The Lole warehouse sale is definitely worth a look!

Lole Sample Sale 2015

Curious about the Lole sample sale?  I was super excited when the Lole sale came around again, last time I went to the warehouse sale I couldn't believe the deals they were having.

This time the sample sale is definitely a pass.

Shoe Binge

Sorry for being MIA lately, getting an audit at work can be quite time consuming.  The thing with audits is while preparing for them, my normal tasks don't stop, they just pile up.  But enough about work, back to my shoe binge.

I was so proud that during boxing day, I did not purchase a single pair of shoes.  But man lately I have been on a shoe binge.  I basically purchased a pair a week.

A Sample Sale Worth Passing Up

I can't believe I'm even uttering such words. Last weekend was the BCBG warehouse sale, which I look forward to every year.  What I once thought was a sale that randomly occurs once in a blue moon, actually happens twice a year. What use to be a one stop shop to stock your closet full of staples ranging from work appropriate attire to cocktail dress has recently become a miss and hit sale, where you have to dig for finds.  I swear each year this sale gets worst and worst, yet every person I spotted leaving the sale had a shopping bag in hand.

Jack Pot Shopping Haul

If you read my last post "A sample sale not to miss" you probably know I went to a sample sale and I bought stuff. I really didn't need anything but when you hit up a sample sale no one really has anything particular in mind. You have an idea of what you would like to (more like hope to) find there, so it can be a hit or a miss. But I really love this sample sale. Last year I manged to pick up a pair of combat-like boots which really wasn't my style but I ended up wearing them practically on a daily basis. Oh and did I mentioned I scored a pair Miu Miu heels for practically next to nothing.

A Sample Sale Not to Miss

Sample sales in MTL will never compare to the ones in the NYC, but sometimes there are rare ones that you can score some great finds! This is one of them, today is the last day of the sale so hopefully it's not too late for you to hit it up.

Currently Coveting

I know some girls love to switch out their hand bags on a weekly bases if not daily.  On a regular bases, I'm personally just too lazy to do it. For special occasions or if I'm going out for dinner I'll make the effort, but on a daily bases I'm really just too damn lazy.   Plus I always find I forget the one item I need that day in the other bag once I make the switch.

This whole summer I have basically been toting around a Kate Spade bag I picked up in NY maybe like 4 years ago. When I have quick errands to run, I switch into a cross body bag, that is as far as my effort goes.   I have a plethora of hand bags just sitting in my closet,  so this year I decided instead of buying standard handbags, I'll save my pennies and get a designer bag.

I finally set my eyes on the Givenchy Nightingale Satchel

15 for 15

A couple of weeks ago, Lily and I randomly decided to check out a jewelry sample sale.  Nothing as exciting as the ones in the NY.  I initially passed on the sale, but on it's last week, they slashed prices and everything was priced 10 items for $10 (originally I think the pricing was 3 items for $10).

What attracted us this time around, was the fact that they actually listed brands that would be available (Forever 21, Lord & Taylor, Top Shop, etc.)  So we took a gamble and went.

When we got there the sales people told us, minimum purchase had to be 5 items for $5. It was basically racks and racks of jewelry in a small space = lots of sorting.  I really should have snapped a pic, but we were on a time crunch.

This is what we ended up with after about 2 hours of sorting

BCBG Warehouse Sale 2014

The BCBG warehouse sale rolled around again, and to be honest this sale is getting more depressing each year.  Yet I keep on going back each year.  Last year, I managed to walk away with some amazing necklaces, this year the sale was almost a bust.

For those, who have never gone to the BCBG warehouse sale, it apparently happens twice a year.  Once in the Fall and once in the Spring.  If you're looking for a cocktail dress on the cheap, you should definitely be able to find one here.  This sale is usually over stocked with dresses.  Clothing wise, it's kinda of a bust, you really need to patiently dig through the racks to unearth some great finds.  Most of the clothing is actually damaged, so thoroughly inspect each item since all sales are FINAL.  Some of the damaged garments is easily repairable, so if you're handy with a needle you may be to score some finds.

What I don't understand about this sale is people seem to go crazy and start grabbing everything and anything.  But 80% of the stuff is either ripped, stained, or super old.  Some of the items I have spotted at this sale, I actually own and have purchased it maybe 5-6 years ago.

This year, I managed to find 3 items: a top, a bottom, and a necklace.

This top may actually blend into my skin tone, but for $20 bucks it was too cute to resist.

I'm so happy someone ditched this pair of shorts, love the pleats.

And the best find of the sale, after digging through a box of belts was this necklace! I snagged this for $10

It's currently still in stores retailing for $136.

A Sample Sale worth Passing up

Last weekend was the Vince Camuto sample sale.  I think this is the second time I caught wind of this sale, the first time I really wanted to go since their ad had said all shoes were $25, but I had just gotten back from vacation and was burning up with fever.  When I spotted it this year I was like yes!

Rag&Bone Jeans

I managed to snag a pair of Rag&Bone jeans on sale and I'm quite impressed by their quality.  I'm very particular of my jeans because I suffer from FAS (AKA: Flat Ass Syndrome).  So far J brands have been the ones that make me look like I have a bit of a butt. But I have been exploring the with other brands and there have been some hits and misses. The Rag&Bone bones seem to be a hit.

I picked up the zipper tuxedo pair because of the zipper detail. I was super surprised that it was an actual zipper that can be unzipped all the way up. Strange but I'll go with it. But I was impressed by the fact that there was additional piece of material behind the zipper, so the cold metal does not make any skin contact.

Attention to details is a big plus for me

My latest obsession..Rag & Bone

If you follow me on instagram, you may have known that I managed to snag a pair of shoes I have been coveting.  I initially spotted the Rag & Bone Harrow booties on Pinterest, and it was love at first sight.

Until I saw the price, I knew they were not going to be cheap, but I was not expecting them to retail for $495.

Blog Inspired Purchase

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has made purchases motivated by blogs. Well at least I hope I'm not.

During Boxing day, I picked up these B by Brian Atwood sandals; I have to admit that I purchased them partially because I kept seeing cage like sandals pop up on several fashion blogs.

Almost....

I almost did it, go two months without spending on any beauty products. The month of Sept I managed to spend $0, at the beginning of the Oct I spent $30 on one lipstick and when Oct was going buy, I was literally thinking, yes I only bought 1 beauty product!

But in reality this is what ended up happening:

The Costco Craze

Have you guys ever seen the CNBC doc on Costco: "The Costco Craze"? Every time I catch it, by the end of the doc, I'm always thinking: "I would love to work for Costco." I don't think I'm the only one out there that is infatuated with Costco, there are tons of blogs out there about Costco and people's Costco finds.

I finally had my "I can't believe I found this at Costco" moment.

I finally got a pair of sneaker wedges

Okay so.... I really wanted a pair of sneaker wedges and I've been on a hunt for them since the Winter season.

Sample Sale Pet Peeve

This Thursday I made a quick pit stop at the Editorial warehouse sale.  I have never been to the Editiorial warehouse sale, but since they advertised that I would be able to find brands such  House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie, Adriano Goldschmied, J Brand, and Citiziens of Humanity among other brands I decided to stop by and check it out.

I really should have taken some pics, but lets just say I was less than impressed.  I don't know if it was because I stopped by the 2nd weekend of the sale, but I did not see any House of Harolw, Adriano Goldschmied, or Citizens of Humanity.  I did spot about 4 pairs of J Brand jeans, but everything else at the sale was a question mark to me.

My biggest pet peeve with this sale was that there was no try on's! What the hell, how the hell am I suppose to know if things fit let alone look good on me? Plus there were no mirrors in the whole entire place.  When I asked the SA she explained to be that if people try things on they may damage it, since the prices were so discounted you kinda of  know if it fits you or not?  (Even with the no try on rule, I spotted quite a few items that where damaged)

I understand that they want to reduced the number of damaged items, but at the same time it's a sample sale, most of the items there are overstock, some of the stock may have even been sitting there for years.

I did manage to snag this pair of shorts for $5.

This was a complete shot in the dark fit wise. Since I wasn't able to try it on, I did the whole wrap it around your neck trick. And to my surprise this really does work! This neck trick left me a little perplex, if one gains weight, does that mean that one's neck also gains weight?

To me, the prices weren't that discounted for a no try on rule. If everything was $5 fine, but if I'm going to pay $45 for a blouse, I better be able to try it on. Anyhow, I think the no try on rule only bothered me since people were leaving with armful of items.
